The station directly connects with London Liverpool Street railway station, which is one of the busiest railway stations in London. The railway station serves the Great Eastern Main Line, West Anglia Main Line and Stansted Express travelling across East England.

The underground station serves the Central, Circle, Hammersmith & City and Metropolitan Lines operated by the London Underground.
