Campbeltown Airport, Scotland
Campbeltown Airport (IATA: CAL) is a small airport situated near the southern edge of the Kintyre peninsula on the western coast of Scotland. The airport is about 6 km (4 miles) from Campbeltown, the main settlement in the Kintyre peninsula with a population of around 4,800. Campbeltown is famous for the annual Mull of Kintyre Music Festival and not far from the Machrihanish Golf Club. Fishing and farming are major industries here and the peninsula is a popular travel destination noted for its natural beauty, sandy beaches, remote villages and wildlife. Airport opening hours are from 9:20 a.m. to 5:40 p.m. on Monday-Friday and sometimes open on weekends during the summer.

Loganair operates daily flights on weekdays and on some Sundays in summer between Campbeltown Airport and Glasgow Airport. The duration of the flight each way takes about 45 minutes, which is faster than driving (3 hrs) and by train (6 hrs 30 mins). Glasgow Airport offers connections to other destinations in Scotland, the rest of the UK and Europe.
