Colonsay Airport (Hebrides), Scotland

Colonsay Airport (IATA: CSA) is a small rural airport located on the island of Colonsay off the western coast of Scotland in the Inner Hebrides. Colonsay is a small island measuring 13 km (8 miles) long and 5 km (3 miles) at its widest point and situated north of Islay and south of Mull. Colonsay offers visitors unspoiled natural beauty including sandy beaches, dramatic cliffs, moorlands and wildlife. The island has a small population of around 120 and the main settlement is Scalasaig situated on the island’s east coast.

There's no public transport, taxi or car rental service on Colonsay and most people bring their own car if travelling by ferry. Most of the island's facilities are in Scalasaig, which you can get around by walking. Cycle is popular here and you can hire bicycles from several places on the island. Hebridean Air Services operates twice-weekly flights between Colonsay Airport and Oban Airport (25 mins) on the Scottish mainland and weekly flights between Islay Airport (20 mins) in the Inner Hebrides.
