Sumburgh Airport (Shetlands), Scotland

Sumburgh Airport (IATA: LSI) is a small airport in the Shetland Islands, an archipelago off the northeastern coast of Scotland. The airport is located on the southern tip of the Shetland Mainland (the main island in the Shetlands) and about 30 km (20 miles) south from Lerwick, which is the main port and largest settlement in the Shetlands. Sumburgh Airport is a small airport but the main airport in the Shetlands and handled 256,000 passengers in 2017. Flybe and Loganair are the main airlines operating at the airport. Though a small airport, it has several services and facilities for the convenience of passengers. Ground transport from Sumburgh Airport includes buses, taxis and car rentals.
